Gross speed = all characters you typed (spaces included) ÷ 5 ÷ minutes. Each wrong, missed or extra word is one mistake. Net speed = Gross speed − (mistakes ÷ minutes). Accuracy = correct words ÷ (correct words + mistakes). The same formula is shown below the test.
SSC CHSL (LDC / JSA): 35 words per minute in English or 30 in Hindi, in 10 minutes. RRB NTPC: 30 words per minute in English or 25 in Hindi, in 10 minutes. SSC DEST (CHSL DEO, CGL Tax Assistant): 8,000 key depressions per hour, i.e. about 2,000 in the 15-minute test. Always check the latest official notification, which is final.
Yes. Choose हिंदी and type in Unicode (Mangal) with the Hindi Inscript keyboard of Windows or Google Input Tools. Kruti Dev / Remington typing is not supported yet.
In the real skill test the passage is not coloured as you type and you type in a separate box. Exam mode works the same way, so your practice matches the exam. Copy-paste is always blocked because it would give a false speed.
